When imagining this podcast, I realize I hadn’t considered that “Windows Game Club” is quite broad, since Windows remains the dominant gaming platform on PCs. What do folks think of renaming this club and podcast to something more distinct, such as to highlight its focus on older games?

Here are some of my other name ideas:

      • 9x Game Club – for Windows 98-ME era, possibly too narrow
      • 9XP Game Club – contraction of Win 9x through XP era of Windows
      • Millennium Game Club
      • Puffy Cloud Gaming
      • W2K Game Club
      • W9x Game Club
      • Win Game Club – more similar to DOS Game Club yet could be confused with gambling trends
      • Y2K Game Club

It’s an interesting question, but I also think its just a name. You can make the club what you want it to be and hand selecting the games will keep it focussed on the era that makes sense.

Given you have wanted to cover the rough 1997-2005 era it’s not going to be easy to find a succinct name like the MS-DOS era (which even that is a very wide scope).

Chatting with a friend his idea coud be on your second idea, but play with the capitalisation.

      9xP Game Club.

But it doesn’t really roll off the tounge quite as well Windows Game Club 🙂
