some train of thoughts about the game:

I never felt anything for this game until this summer. Back in the 90’s, I tried it for a few minutes. That was long enough for me to decide it was ‘rubbish’.
You had a 3d view like doom, but it nowhere near navigated like doom. setting up mouse and keyboard controls correctly where beyond my knowledge back than.
Today, this game feels like a treasure I found in the retro library.

It is an action adventure that runs on dos and win95/98.
Westwood took about 3 to 4 years to develop it and I think it shows in the quality of the game.
I love the campaign and all the different world settings, the lore, the story,…
Also, you can play the game with several endings. You can choose to be an evil character or a good character.
Exploration is rewarded in this game. There is lots of stuff to discover.

The graphics in software mode look very good to me, but I like the 3dfx version the most.
You can find this game on GOG.

Would be a fun game to do in the future.
