I have never played this renowned game before this year. Started a casual playthrough in January, but left it midway in February. Now, for the club, I’ve picked up where I left off.

I had a save in the middle of the Sunspire level, loaded it today and continued playing. It took me some time to figure out where I was and which way to go, but was rewarded at the end. I love levels such as this one where you go through a massive indoor structure, to emerge at the top with breathtaking vistas.

I’m playing on my T60 laptop running Windows XP. So, no 3dfx, but it looks nice enough with the ATI X1400 and 1680×1050 resolution on the 22″ IPS monitor. I am sure the club playthrough will server as sufficient motivation for me to complete this game by the end of the quarter. 🙂

      Surprisingly I hadn’t either!

I’ve played 1000’s of hours of UT99 but never tried Unreal.

I’ve just installed it on my P3 Win98 box and its running well, so I’ll endeavour to give it a shot at finishing it as well!

One thing that’s surprised me so far is the cinematics are quite impressive for all in-game engine.

I started playing it around a year ago and lost interest after a while.
I started again when WGC announced unreal, the idea is to finish it.

I play it on my athlon 600 win98 box. I think the game has great music and visuals. it is very atmospheric.
It is even hard to believe this one got released about 6 months before half-life.

At the current moment, I am at the Temple of Vandora. So far, I really enjoyed playing the game.
I try my current run at the unreal difficulty.

The views in this game were stunning back in the day. Replaying now it’s easy to forget how special it was at the time. Still, enjoying the expansive levels and challenging enemies.
